The Antec Veris MX-1 is a unique and well working enclosure. The high quality plastic and aluminum construction makes this case very light but incredibly sturdy as well. Antec has put a lot of thought into the cooling aspect of the MX-1, utilizing the large and quiet fan to move a good amount of air across the entire surface of the hard drive. While the USB 2.0 performance may not be record breaking, it is certainly quite respectable and should be fast enough for most users. With the unique design comes a somewhat complicated installation, which will make changing drives a bit of a hassle. The rubber rings to absorb any vibration of the hard drive are a great and useful feature, which makes the MX-1 silent enough for every day use and thanks to the fan, you could leave the enclosure on all night long without loosing any sleep due to noise or worry of an overheating drive.
