A Closer Look - Inside

To access to the interior of the P100, simply remove the two thumbscrews holding each panel in place. Antec lined the insides of these panels with sound dampening material to further increase the chassis' effectiveness at encapsulating noise. The P100's internal layout is rather traditional, but of excellent quality. You will also find a large opening in the motherboard tray for easy access to the interior, while rubber-grommet-equipped cut-outs should allow for some nice cable routing.

And to hide these cables, Antec designed the P100 to be a bit wider than your traditional ATX chassis, which leaves you with 30 mm of space behind the motherboard tray for such cables.

In the front are seven hard drive trays, stacked on top of each other with ample enough space in-between for some airflow. Each of these plastic trays may be removed for ease of assembly. The two 5.25" drive bays in the top are equipped with the same tool-less locks we have seen in many Antec enclosures before.

The PSU bay in the rear is actually lined with a bit of foam to eliminate any vibrations. Above the bay are the aforementioned motherboard expansion slots, protected by individual covers. Antec actually used traditional screws to hold each cover in place. Thumbscrews would have been more appropriate. With its hardwired speed switch as the exception, the 120 mm exhaust fan in the top makes a pretty normal impression.

The fan mounts in the top are covered by foam-equipped covers, as is apparent from the outside.

All the cables within are of the standard variety, and while the I/O cables are sleeved black, those for the case buttons and LEDs are color-coded atop of their black sleeving. You will also find the aforementioned little switches on the fans. With "low" and "high" as options, these allow you to adjust rotational speeds.
