ASRock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac Review

Board Layout

ASRock's B450 Gaming-ITX/ac is one of those boards that simply looks exciting right at first glance. You can see the numerous CPU power phases and fairly decent cooling right way. Since the B450 Gaming-ITX/ac is so small, there's a decent amount of stuff both front and rear, but the board itself isn't overly busy due to the simplicity of AMD's Promontory B450.

The socket area is wide open for most coolers with plenty of clearance all around. We have dual full-size DIMM slots here, so there's no messing around with SODIMMs with the B450 Gaming-ITX/ac.

You get a single PCIe port to use along with a single M.2 port on the rear of the board for your M.2 drive.

There are four SATA ports available on the ASRock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac, along with a trio of RGB LED headers for all your full-color-glowing goodness.

The rear of the B450 Gaming-ITX/ac comes equipped with both DisplayPort and HDMI plugs, along with a sextet of USB ports of various flavors. You will also find a PS/2 combo port, single LAN port, optical audio output, five standard gold-plated audio plugs, and two gold Wi-FI antenna plugs. Both the dual-band WiFi and LAN port are powered by Intel controllers; the Intel I211AT controller is pictured above.
