This is one of those times where a BIOS doesn't offer enough for those who like to play with every setting to tune every last part of their system, but for those who simply like to "plug and play", the ASRock X370 Gaming K4 has most of what's needed to get you up and running. I say most because this board lacks high-speed memory support, something many enthusiasts are calling critical for peak performance. Since the launch of AMD's Ryzen platform, promises for AGESA updates (AMD's part of the BIOS) where rumored to help with memory issues, and in some instances that has proven true, at least for overall compatibility. However, capabilities have not much improved in some circumstances, and that seems down to either the board maker's BIOS tuning or circuit design. Either way, we are at the point now where if you still have an issue today, you're likely to always have an issue if you bought the wrong memory kit.

At least with the ASRock X370 Gaming K4, there were no claims of 3200 MHz memory support, and you'll still have issues getting there with this board if you don't have just the right memory kit and a bit of luck.
