BIOS Walkthrough

The BIOS provided with ASRock's Z170M OC Formula is nearly perfect in my eyes; it's tuned for performance even without much tweaking, and when you want to push your memory kit hard, there are plenty of timing profiles to get you on your way to smashing any frequency limits you had elsewhere. There aren't too many options here that leave you lost and wondering about what to change next, all fitted together in a great layout that has everything where you'd expect to find it. If you are trying to clock to the limits while benchmarking, you do tend to spend a fair bit of time inside the BIOS trying to get the most out of those sticks you can, and ASRock knows it. Add in the esthetic that matches the Z170M OC Formula's colors, and there can be no doubt this board's BIOS is built right.
