Summing it all up proves very easy, as there is no question which board is both the better performer, as well as the better overclocker. I remain so impressed with the Maximus III Gene that it will become my main motherboard, without a doubt. All the included features packed into such a small package didn't detract from the board's ability, and it truly shocked me how everything worked so well together. Trying to come up with any shortcomings in the Gene proves really hard, so much so that I cannot really find anything wrong with it that might make me hesitate in buying yet another for a secondary system. I really believe it will meet anyone's needs, no matter how they plan to use it, whether as a daily driver, or the ultimate microATX extreme overclocking platform. The one thing I can say is that the included overclocking software is still fairly limited without memory timing control, but this is such a minor thing, that it has very little effect on my opinion of the Maximus III Gene. Only the lack of thermal probes proves a true oversight. In the end, this is truly a product worthy of the ROG moniker.
