Overclocking
The ASUS Prime X299 Edition 30 showed quite a bit of headroom for overclocking. I was able to achieve 4.6 GHz at 1.21 V core voltage, and I used this overclock for my power consumption tests and VRM torture test.
The ASUS Prime X299 Edition 30 goes above and beyond for overclocking aids, with a wide selection of exotic cooling tools and an innovative OLED that functions as a hardware monitor and post-code display. Don't mistake the OLED for a gimmick either, as it displays what hardware each code corresponds to in real time, which is a huge time saver when troubleshooting.
For memory overclocking, the ASUS Prime X299 Edition 30 did well, reaching 4000 MHz at XMP timings and voltages on my Trident Z Neo kit. However, it wasn't quite stable at that speed. I had to step it down to 3800 MHz for it to pass my MemTest 64 validation without errors.
