Output Noise

We used a CEM-8852 Sound DB Meter we installed 50 cm away from the NAS for these measurements. Ambient noise in our lab was below 30 dBA while these noise measurements were taken.



Although it uses a high-speed fan, output noise was only 43 dBA at full speed, which is due to the fan's incredibly relaxed profile; that is, so long as you pick the corresponding setting in ADM. We are also pretty sure that ADM's full fan-speed setting doesn't actually set the fan to its full speed as it peaks at 5200 RPM for a whopping 60 dBA according to its manufacturer.
