Assembly
Assembling the Backforce One Plus won't take any longer than 20 minutes and does not require a second pair of hands. An illustrated user manual describes the procedure well, and Backforce put together an assembly video that will take you through the process step by step.
A weirdly shaped carbon piece included in the box assists with the assembly procedure by keeping the pieces in place while piecing together the chair. An excellent detail is the plastic cover under the backrest that hides the metal bar and bolts securing the backrest to the base of the seat.
Initial Impressions
Most gaming chairs look like sports bucket seats, with cutouts in the backrest and raised edges everywhere. Backforce took a different route by using a more futuristic pattern with various manufacturing materials and an almost DIY approach. Other than the One Plus, there is another gaming chair like it—the One, which is the primary model of the series.
The backrest's color accents and embroidered, quilted upper part are the same as on the One, but the One Plus comes with plenty of improvements over the One. The One Plus has removable, foldable 5D instead of 2D armrests, upholstered with a velour-like cover. In addition to that, the One Plus is reinforced with an integrated and horizontally and vertically adjustable lumbar-support system and a seat that is adjustable in depth and tilt. The rear-protruding part on the One hasn't been retained, and instead of 50 mm caster wheels, the One Plus has 65 mm wheels. This chair has passed ANSI/BIFMA X.5.1, EN 1335-1:2021, EN 1335-2:2019, and 2PfG 947/07.13 testing, which makes it suitable for office spaces.
