Ergonomics

The One Plus has plenty of ergonomic features. Considering the number of ergonomic features it is equipped with, Backforce included an illustrated instruction manual.

The built-in mechanism for seat-depth adjustability is convenient, especially if tall and looking for a bit more space for the legs as it can be extended 6.5 cm (2.55 in.). Sync Seat is an integrated synchronous mechanism for tilt and depth.

An integrated lumbar-support system is used to adjust the backrest and pelvis area horizontally and vertically. This is a system I have come across in noblechairs and Secretlab models. Such an adjustment mechanism is more often found in gaming chairs made out of mesh, such as the Vertagear and Thermaltake models I have previously reviewed. Gaming and office work often mean sitting in a chair for a while, so other manufacturers should adopt such support systems, or invent new ones that will support areas under the most pressure while sitting down even better—most gaming chairs usually only come with two support cushions for those areas.

Sync Seat means the seat adjusts to the back's angle in depth and tilt. The height-adjustability of the seat ranges from 130 to 140 cm (51.18 to 55.11 in.), and the locking/unlocking rocking mechanism tilts up to 11°. The weight-limit of the One Plus is 130 kg (286.60 lb).

The armrests have a width of 0.85 cm (0.33 in.) and length of 24 cm (9.44 in.), and are 5 cm (1.96 in.) thick. They are 5D, which means their height is adjustable and they can be folded and stored away with the push of a button, like in an airplane.

From now on, I shall call it airplane mode! The armrests can move in every direction and do of course rotate clockwise as well.

Additionally, the upper part, covered in the same velour fabric as the rest of the chair, is easily removed and replaced. When the upper part is removed, the remaining armrests are the typical soft-padded PU armrests of any other gaming chair.

Gas Lift, Five-Star Base, and Casters

A Class 4 gas lift is responsible for all height adjustments and can lift the stated weight-limit of 130 kg (285.60 lb).

The five-star base is 738 mm (29.05 in.) across and made out of high-quality aluminium with a polished black surface. Each of its arms is adorned with silver highlights. One of them even has the company name and logo engraved. The casters are made out of plastic and have a diameter of 65 mm (2.55 in.). They have a black center and anthracite surround.
