A Closer Look

The top-flow or down-draft style Dark Rock TF has an aggressive but stealthy look to it with its dark nickel-plated dual-heatsink design. Surprisingly, it still only comes in at 130.8 mm tall with its two fans and two fin stacks.

Anti-vibration pads are installed on the heatsink for both fans, which will help reduce noise. Meanwhile, the be quiet! name is prominently visible due to its silver color.

Taking a closer look, you can see the aluminum heatpipe caps be quiet! used, which gives the cooler a more premium feel. This and the dark nickel-plating be quiet! is known for definitely help give the Dark Rock TF its own unique look, much like Noctua, but more likable. The heatpipes are spaced apart evenly, entering both fin stacks; however, the smaller fin stack is definitely a great deal more crowded.

The base, while smooth to the touch, is nowhere near a mirror finish in terms of appearance. You can also see the four screw holes the mounting hardware will use to attach to the heatsink.

The fans with model number BQ SW3-13525-MF-PWM are PWM fans with a maximum RPM of 1400. They also measure in at 135 mm x 22 mm.
