At first, when I was initially playing with this Biostar Hi-Fi A85W, I was quite happy with the board, as things seemed to be working well, and its slick, new BIOS design really made me hope that this board would be great. I used it, played games with it, did my usual thing, and only then did I get to overclock the board, and it changed my opinion completely.
Biostar really needs to update the BIOS of this product before I can give it a decent score. What's here now could prove to be a fantastic product, although with a VRM that draws a bit more power than others. The board is, and I hate to say this, broken until a fix is applied. Fortunately, it can be fixed easily, but I have to, until that time comes, recommend using other options unless you really like the looks this board has to offer.
