Overclocking
As a B360 board, the Colorful C.B360M-HD Deluxe V20 has very little in the way of overclocking options and support. It does prove, however, to have a little bit more potential than advertised. The board is advertised as supporting memory of up to 2400 MHz, but the BIOS does have a memory overclocking page which includes XMP support. Granted, the frequency range maxes out at 2667 MHz, which is nowhere near the 3866 MHz of the G.Skill kit installed in the system. This is, in fact, standard for B360 boards. If you have a memory kit with an XMP profile that is greater than 2667 MHz, activating XMP on that kit will make it default to 2667 MHz.
There are obviously even fewer options for CPU configuration. While there is a CPU configuration page, there are no real overclocking options. The CPU ratio is capped at 37, and changing the Core Ratio Limit Overrides had no affect in my testing. In the future, I would recommend Colorful lock these options in the BIOS to avoid confusion. The Colorful C.B360M-HD Deluxe V20 is not meant to be used for overclocking, and so consumers should choose their components accordingly. The 8700K used in my test system, while powerful at stock speeds, is somewhat wasted on the B360 chipset.
