Lighting
This mouse doesn't come with software, which means all lighting options can be changed manually with the corresponding button between the two CPI-switchers. The manual has a detailed tutorial on changing colors for the static and breathing effects and controlling the brightness.
There are five main effects: static lighting, breathing, color cycle, comet, and color waves. The lighting is very bright at its maximum setting; my camera couldn't handle it very well, and it shows up as white at the brightest spots—it looks much better in real life. Transitions are rather smooth, but I've seen better RGB options, and as for customizability, the CM310 isn't a top choice—we're still talking about a budget mouse here.
Static and breathing colors can be changed by pressing the right mouse button and the forward button simultaneously. You can also change the chosen lighting effect's speed by pressing the right mouse button and the back button simultaneously.
