MWE Gold 850 - V2 (Full Modular)

The MWE Gold 850 V2 PSU ships in a full-color cardboard box with an image of the unit on front and all the necessary details on the rear. It is held in place within the package by a foam insert, while the cables ship in a sealed plastic bag.

That bag lists its contents on a label, and it seems the 750 and 850 W versions both come with exactly the same set of modular cables. There are two leads for PCIe connectors, for a total of four 8-pin plugs, and a pair of CPU power leads with two 4-pin connectors each. On top of that, you will find a total of three cables with SATA connectors and a single one with Molex. Last but not least is the power cable, mounting screws, and some basic documentation.

The PSU comes equipped with a 120 mm fan and completely recessed, fully modular connectors. 160 mm long, it should be compact enough to fit into most mid-towers, but make sure to at least have 25 mm for the cable plugs.

Cooler Master placed SKU-specific branding on one side and a label with specifications on the other.

On the side facing outward in a classic build is an air vent, on/off switch, and the usual power plug. Turning it around to view the internal side, you can see that the 24-pin connector is broken up into two plugs, which are stacked on top of each other, with the PCIe and CPU power connectors across one row and SATA/Molex in a row below.

Cooler Master equipped the MWE Gold 850 V2 with an 120 mm HDB fan, which is an improvement over the V1 variant.
