The Package

The Cougar Phontum comes in a good-looking and very informative box. The front of it shows us the headset in all of its glory. After you turn it around, you'll see a breakdown of its key features, as well as a full list of its specifications.


There isn't much to see on the sides—just the name of the manufacturer and the product located inside.


These are the contents of the box. You get the headset, a detachable microphone, two pairs of ear cups, a dual 3.5-mm 3-pole cable (TRS) with an in-line remote control, a user manual, and a promotional pamphlet that goes over other products in Cougar's gaming lineup.
