Creative has apparently gone all in with the Sound BlasterAxx 200 Axx's design. At $149, this sound blaster is an utter steal if you want a device for use around the house or the occasional trip. The design looks great on a desk, but we would have preferred a more rugged design like that of the UE BOOM for outside. Apart from that, it is a pleasure to use, and you even get an app that lets you adjust a bunch of performance-related parameters. The fact that it also has an integrated player on board is a touch of genius for use on the go.

Its price is set at $149 for launch, but only for a limited time. The MSRP is set at $299, which is a bit ambitious, but would still be OK value for your money if you only plan on using it indoors. At $149, this device is as close to a steal as can be, making it a superb product at $149 and a good one at around $299 (That is its MSRP, so it will probably be available for less).
