DeepCool's AK620 Digital, akin to its previously reviewed sibling, establishes itself as a remarkable dual-tower cooler, offering a commendable blend of performance, aesthetics, and easy installation. When examining its performance, the AK620 Digital stands out. While it slightly trails the Noctua NH-D15 when normalized for noise on the AMD platform, it quickly catches up once the fans are pushed to their maximum speed. On Intel, it competes neck and neck with the NH-D15. An unexpected revelation is the AK620 Digital's impressive competition with DeepCool's other top-tier heatsink, the Assassin IV. Their performance is nearly identical, exchanging blows depending on the specific test.

A notable drawback in this design is the imperfect memory clearance. While common in dual-fan, dual-tower heatsinks, it's essential to stick with standard height memory DIMMs, maxing around 41-43 mm in height with the front fan installed. Extreme memory may present a challenge unless the front fan is removed or raised, albeit at the expense of maximum performance. Still the cut-away fins and usage of 120 mm fans means users can at least make full use of their systems DIMM slots. Just make sure the memory you select is not too tall.

Concerning build quality, I am thoroughly impressed. There were no bent fins or significant issues. However, some users might find the ARGB lighting a bit too subtle. The digital display is well-framed by this implementation, yet the understated design may not suit everyone's taste. The display and accompanying software also have limitations, showcasing only CPU usage and temperature without the customization options seen in some AIOs. Nevertheless, while it is limited in scope, it is well executed. Additionally, the nickel-plated copper base and all-black design contribute to its visually appealing aesthetic, offering a more professional rather than a gamer-centric look.

In conclusion, the DeepCool AK620 Digital emerges as an impressive dual-tower air cooler, elevating an already successful design with its outstanding performance, new features, and robust build quality. It is an excellent option for those seeking efficient cooling performance, easy installation, and a touch of visual flair without being excessively flashy.
