Installation
To install the DeepCool AK620 on AMD, you will first need to remove the plastic brackets on the motherboard. Once done, use the AMD standoffs, which have black plastic bottoms to secure the AMD motherboard backplate. Next, place the brackets over the standoffs and secure them with the thumbscrews.
Now, apply thermal paste to the CPU, and then secure the heatsink to the mounting brackets. With the heatsink secure, you can now put the fans back on.
Next, cable manage the wiring and hook the fans up to the CPU fan header via the included Y-cable, and you are done.
Overall, the mounting hardware DeepCool used for the AK620 is topnotch. On the AMD side of things, it is simple and easy, and the overall design removes a multitude of miscellaneous parts used by their competitors. The installation on Intel is just as easy. In general, everything here is well thought out and works as expected.
