Out of the box, the Trio-GT-RGB doesn't push the boundaries in terms of design. However, the slightly angled and tapered front is a nice touch.

Both side panels of the chassis are made completely out of glass and feature a decent tint to hide any imperfections in your assembly skills. They don't actually have any thumbscrews, but are held in place by magnets with hinges, so you may swing it open easily for access to the interior.

The front panel consists of a plastic frame and tempered glass panel. Look closely and you can see the three fans that have been placed here right out of the box. You may pull the front panel off to reveal and access these should you want to install different fans or a 240 mm radiator in the front.

The PSU bay in the rear is on the bottom, and there are eight expansion slots for the motherboard and a fourth 120 mm fan, this time set to push hot air out the back of the chassis. This brings the total number of fans to four, which is quite the respectable number out of the box.

Grooves in the top act as air vents for the two 120/140 mm fans you could install here if you wish. By pulling the top cover off, you will reveal their slightly offset mounting spots, which also means you can go for liquid cooling in the ceiling without having to worry about motherboard and cooling components getting in the way of each other. DIYPC has done an excellent job with the I/O of the chassis as it includes the usual audio plugs and two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 connectors. On top of that, you will not only have the traditional power/reset button combo, but the ability to control the RGB lighting of the four fans. Interestingly enough, there is a "fan" button, but it has no functionality.

On the underside is a metal mesh dust filter for the PSU area. If you look closely, you will notice that the HDD cage can be moved over because of four screws holding it in place, which allows you to install an even longer PSU.
