The DXRacer Racing Pro R131-NR is definitely a chair of good build quality, something you will instantly be aware of the minute you assemble it. The seat's base is reinforced with three metal bars and two elastic bands for extra support and comfort. The backrest is tall enough, offers support, and promotes an upright body posture, but both the backrest and the seat's base are rather restrictive.
We already mentioned that we find this chair to be rather narrow, and its dimensions do prove our point. The distance between armrests might be a problem for users weighting more than 75 kg (165.34 lb). However, the bolts under the seat do allow the armrests to be moved further apart. Even so, the contoured edges on both the backrest and the seat's base will create a feeling of confinement. The slim dimensions of this chair would, with that said, make it fit nicely into a gaming room or spot where space is a real commodity.
The neck-support cushion is really soft and can be adjusted in two different ways or can be removed entirely if a user is not too fond of it. The lumbar-support cushion is really wide and covers the entire pelvis area. This lumbar-support cushion can be adjusted horizontally, which makes it usable by many sorts of users. Since more than three users have used this chair extensively, the only cushion that was removed by one of our users was the lumbar-support cushion, and this was due to the fact that this chair isn't very deep, which pushed this particular user towards the chair's edge by quite a bit.
The armrests are 4D and can be adjusted in all directions. They are wide and long, and the cushioning is somewhat hard. Additionally, I found it hard to adjust these armrests. The gas lift and backrest recline and operate smoothly. However, the rocking mechanism is a bit stiff in comparison to others. The caster wheels roll along easily. Afraid it might at some point start rolling backwards, I prefer my feet to touch the floor while sitting in this chair!
Accessories
DXRacer offers some accessories for customization through their website. A different design of the headrest cushion in a variety of colors is available, starting at €27.90 (around $34).
Caster blade wheels with different colors can also be found for €39, while a footrest with various colors is also available for €109 ($133.5); even though its price is stiff, I am tempting to purchase the footrest since I never had one before!
