A look Inside

Taking the system apart is a simple affair. To start, unscrew the four screws on the bottom plate and then lift it off carefully, as there is a fan and USB daughter board secured to it. Once removed you have access to all the regular components you may wish to change or upgrade, be it memory or storage and for 99% of potential users this is as far as you need to go.

Removing the SSD is an easy process, just pull the plastic pin and the drive will lift and slide out. Meanwhile, the memory just requires opening the clips, and they will pop up and slide out. With that out of the way remove the black screw near the M.2 Slot to release the motherboard from the chassis.

Now gently remove the mainboard till you can see the tape holding the Wi-Fi antenna wires to the chassis. Carefully remove the tape to avoid tension on said wires. With that done the mainboard can be removed from the chassis without having to disconnect any wiring. There is plenty of space to work with, and you will have complete access top the CPU heatsink and fan. The fan itself used here is the AVC model: BAZC0810R5HY010.

As for the memory the system came equipped with 2x 8 GB DDR5 5600 MHz SO-DIMM modules from Kimtigo, alongside a Western Digital SN740 256 GB NVMe drive for testing purposes.
