Installation
Installation is quick and easy. First, position the backplate on the motherboard with the proper rubber gasket. Once done, use the proper standoffs to secure it to the motherboard. Make sure to use the plastic washers as shown above to protect the motherboard. Next, apply some thermal paste in preparation for the block.
Next, secure the block to the motherboard by putting the springs on the standoffs, above the covers the CPU block creates. With that done, use the thumb screws by tightening them down to secure everything.
Finally, install the radiator module into your case and plug the QDC fittings into the corresponding option on the CPU block. Once done, make sure everything is plugged in. That's it, you are ready to go!
I would rate the EK-MLC Phoenix's installation an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). Installation is very straightforward and simple; however, the radiator's and fan's weight can make things trickier depending on the chassis you are working with.
