Finished Looks
While the EK-MLC Phoenix lacks the appeal and aesthetics of a custom loop tailored to a user's personal preference, I would say it still looks pretty damn good once set up, especially since they kept the design similar to the Predator series, just a bit more low key. Sadly, this is due to the missing nickel-plated compression fittings that helped make the older unit pop. This new design lacks that it factor and generally feels cheaper in terms of fittings and block design, but does, even so, pack a high price. That said, in its place is ease of upgrades and general ease of installation. Potential buyers will have to ask themselves whether the easier install is worth the higher price vs. other kits EKWB currently offers.
In terms of LEDs, only the CPU block features them, and it's just the Phoenix logo that is illuminated in white. So those liking the RGB LED craze may want to look elsewhere or look into options that could be used in conjunction with the Phoenix modular liquid-cooling system. Either way, the design definitely feels like it was made more for actual adults rather than teenagers.
As for clearance, there are no issues to report. Both memory and graphics card clearance was fine with no glaring problems or limitations. Any problems that could arise would be due to case compatibility, at which point you may want to look into the 240 mm or 280 mm options instead.
