Installation

To install the Endorfy Navis F280, you will need to remove the plastic mounting brackets on your AMD motherboard. With those removed, you then secure the original AMD backplate via the spacers with the black plastic. Once the backplate is secure, you can then apply thermal paste.

The next step is to install the radiator. Because of the pump mounting bracket design installing the radiator first will make the overall installation easier. With the radiator secure, you can then slide the pump block onto the CPU. To secure that, you then take the springs and slide them over the thumb screws; one side will slide on easily the other won't fit, so it is, in my experience, directional. Once the thumb screws and springs are ready, use them to secure the block to the threaded spacers, alternating between them all to apply even pressure.

All that remains now is to install the fans and plug everything in. Make sure to connect the SATA power for the pump, or your system is going to be incredibly unhappy.

Overall, the installation is pretty straightforward on AMD and Intel, with no real complications. The only real area of improvement would be a better installation manual. Endorfy's current manual doesn't list the mounting hardware or really show the difference, and while it's not difficult to figure it out, it would be a nice change all the same. For example, most coolers have different standoffs based on the socket, with Intel using separate standoffs from the ones used on AMD. In the Navis F280's case, it's the same standoffs on both platforms. The all metal standoffs are used on Intel's aging HEDT platforms. No big deal, but the previous experiences would dictate one set is Intel, and the other AMD, so better documentation would eliminate that potential issue. Don't get me wrong, you would have to really try to force the other standoffs to work due to the included Intel backplate but I can certainly see someone trying it just the same.
