Installation

When it comes to installing the Enermax Liqtech 240, users will need to start where almost every cooler install starts, with the backplate. Line it up properly with the holes on the motherboard and slide the long screws down through those holes. Once done, apply the plastic spacers for the brackets the pump will sit upon.

Intel users won't have to attach the proper brackets as they come pre-attached to the pump, which makes installing Enermax's cooler much quicker and easier. Now is also a good time for some prep work, so attach those fans to the radiator and apply the thermal paste.

Take the pump and place it on the CPU, with the brackets sliding over the four screws. Using the spring-loaded thumbscrews, tighten the pump down onto the socket.

To finish installation, attach the fans to the PWM-Y cable and the cable and the pump to CPU fan headers.

Thanks in part to its simple design, installation was very quick and painless. I have no issues to report on, which means Enermax has done well here. I would rate the installation procedure a 9 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
