Assembly
You can imagine how easy the assembly process will be. placing other board on the pre-applied spacers is a simple task. There is plenty of space between the side edges of the board and the chassis walls, so you can grab a hold of the board. Replacing the power supply seems like the next logical step, but it covers the board, so you want to make sure that everything is wired correctly before you do reinstall the PSU.
Installing hard drives in the cage can only be done from the outside, as you cannot gain access to the bottom screws otherwise. If you look closely at the above image, you can see additional openings for the 2.5 inch drive on the bottom part of the cage.
Placing the hard drive cage back into the chassis is not as easy as it seems. You need to angle the entire contraption to get it past the folded edge of side panels. I only have a single drive installed, but with six of them weighting things down, the task also gets increasingly difficult. Once it is inside the case, you will notice that the space between drives and power supply is very limited, so you may have a hard time getting all six drives connected. I have no idea how Fractal Designs imagines that you can connect the 2.5 inch drive, which would be on the
underside of the hard drive cage. SATA connectors are known for how easily they can detach from a drive - especially power connectors, so this is going to be more than frustrating having to connect the drive before placing the cage back into the case. Then having to maneuver the entire contraption into the case without the cable coming off, is nearly impossible.
Finished Looks
Once everything is closed up and ready to go, the unit was turned on and the front blue LED light below the power button lights up. Fractal Design has done a great job keeping things quiet as the front intake fan is truly silent.
Just as I mentioned before, the case is very simple so there is not much to say here as well. I do like the understating look and the rear is quite simple, but giving you access to everything installed.
