The Package
Like other gaming gear from Func, the HS-260s arrived in a big white box.
The bundle is where it gets interesting: You get both a set of pleather pads and a pair of regular velour ones. The pads are really soft and the pleathers are not as hot or sticky as those made by HiFiMAN and others.
The cable is detachable and terminates to TRRS for the headphone end and double TRS for the PC end.
Closer Examination
The HS-260s look great, although slightly futuristic in their design. The ear cups are fairly large and can easily fit my slightly larger ears.
Func picked a pretty straightforward acoustic design with a 50mm driver at the center of each cup. This headset is really light, which makes it very comfortable for longer gaming sessions.
This headset does not leak a lot of sound because it uses closed ear cups.
This headset's headband is well-padded and seems quite durable.
Like we have seen on so many headsets of late, the microphone is detachable, which is a great feature. Its on/off button is located at the base of the microphone, which makes it easily reachable.
Volume Control is integrated into the left cup, which takes some getting used to because you have no visual cues to tell you where the controls are after putting the headphones on.
