It has been many months since Gigabyte first debut their uEFI BIOS implementations, and the uEFI BIOS that Gigabyte provides has since then greatly matured. The BIOS offered with the Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 is the most current uEFI Bios available, and its does work well.

All of the pages are well laid out. Pretty much every option found in past Gigabyte uEFI BIOSes is here, including options needed for clocking the FM2 platform.

Voltages, clocks, and memory settings all get their own sections, which makes finding the option you need for clocking straight forward. Even its monitoring and fan options are diverse, although the fan settings are grouped into one section for the CPU fan header and another section for all other fan headers.

I have to commend Gigabyte for doing a good job of pushing all necessary options to the forefront. I had no issues at all with this BIOS. In fact, most uEFI BIOSes are pretty good in that regard.

All the onboard stuff for external devices is part of the same layout, including separate options for HotSwap functions with each SATA port.

Even its onboard video options are easily found, as are power-saving options specific to the board itself. All in all, a well-balanced layout.

The exit screen contains options for profile saving and booting from devices not set as the default, and the 3D section of the BIOS is still here as well. Even the 3D section has seen some optimizations I had personally asked for. No matter what you decide to use this product for, you'll find exactly what you need, and really, you can't ask for more than that.
