Event Report Continued

All of the contestants were using special LN2 pots to cool down the CPUs. The hot and humid Taipei air proved to cause more condensation issues than normal, making it paramount to have decent condensation management.

As the competition got underway the pressure was on to find the best setup. With only five hours to find the perfect bench stable configuration all of the competitors were completely focused on the rigs.

Thermal management proved hard. The CPUs needed to be cold and the PWMs hot in order to achieve high speeds. Needless to say the contestants had their fair share of black and blue screens.

Matose never seemed that stressed. He was quite fast to achieve a decent level of speed and for the rest of the event he spent his time and effort doing small tweaks and getting good results across the line in all four benchmarks.

Matose proved too much to handle for the other contestants and was rightly crowned GO OC Champion of 2010.

As you can see from the scoreboard Matose only managed to be the fastest at PiFast. With solid results in the three remaining benchmarks he managed to build up an impressive 12 points lead over number two that stood for the last 30 minutes of the event!
