Closer Examination

At 130mm long, 60mm wide, and 43mm tall, the XM300 is a fully sized palm-grip mouse. Its body is entirely out of a lightly textured, hard plastic.

The Gigabyte G logo on the palm rest features 16.8 million color RGB lighting. Toward the front, on the left, are four white LEDs that indicate the current DPI level.

On the left side are two thumb buttons and a rubber grip, as well as the LEDs that indicate the current DPI setting. The right side is completely plain except for the rubber grip.

Look at the mouse head on and you will see its main buttons, rubber mouse wheel, and two DPI-switching buttons.

There is only the RGB lit Gigabyte G logo on the back.

There are two solid thumb buttons and a rubber thumb grip on the right. The left side only has the rubber grip. The plastic on both sides has a rougher texture to it than the plastic on top.

There are three Teflon mouse feet on the bottom for very little friction on mouse mats and desk surfaces. The sensor is a little forward, which has it align with the middle of the rubber grips, leaving it right between your thumb and pinky if you palm-grip the mouse.

Gigabyte chose not to use a braided cable and has instead gone with a rather thin and very light rubber cable. The USB connector is gold plated.
