Fan Control and Options

Fan speed is controlled by temperature, actual minimums dependent on fan ability.


The fans controller is made by iTE.


Fan control on the Gigabyte Z690 AORUS Master can be accessed in the BIOS. Gigabyte does have fan-controlling software listed as "System Information," but I did not download it for this review. This is because I assumed the program was unrelated to controlling any system functions directly. Therefore, a closer look at Gigabyte's fan software will have to wait until next time.


The Gigabyte Z690 AORUS Master has a total of ten main fan headers; two for the CPU cooler, a second all-purpose pair along the top edge of the board above the DIMM slots, two to the left of the CPU EPS connectors, three across the bottom below, and one to the side of the 24-pin motherboard power connector.
