A Closer Look
The FROZN A620 PRO SE has a symmetrical dual-tower heatsink design with both fin-stacks comprised of 56 aluminium fins. While the fins do have a wave shape cut into them, beyond that there is little to make note of. There are no folded over edges for maintaining spacing, punch outs for increased turbulence or anything else. Granted there is nothing wrong with this, and by keeping things simple costs remain low.
While the cooler is compact for a dual-tower, its quite hefty as well, weighing in at 1190 g with the two fans. I also noticed that while the build quality isn't bad the cooler is a bit off in terms of its shape, at least looking at the top plates. However, they are plastic, and do not affect functionality. It should also be noted that it will be impossible to notice this when the cooler is installed in a typical system.
On top, ID-Cooling's plastic covers have a matte black finish with FROZN branding visible, this adds a nice bit of style without going overboard. That said, I was surprised that the cooler has a nickel-plated base and heatpipes, something I really did not expect at this price point. Like the top covers this keeps everything looking clean and uniform, which is a nice touch. Still, even with the nickel-plating the machining marks on the base are visible with the overall base shape being slightly convex as is the norm.
When it comes to the fans they have a very wide RPM range of 300 to 2000 and are all black, with no ARGB lighting. The model number on the back is ID12025M12S. These are rated to deliver 58 CFM at 27.2 dBA.
