ID-Cooling Zoomflow 240 Review

A Closer Look

The radiator is a boxy design with a slight indentation along the side where ID-Cooling is prominently displayed in light gray. Taking a closer look, I noticed a few bent fins, but they were superficially bent and nothing more. The included radiator has an FPI (fins-per-inch) count of 20–21, which is similar to many other popular all-in-one liquid coolers. When it comes to tubing, ID-Cooling has marketed it as being premium, but it is the same sleeved tubing as on many other units. That said, while more attractive than plain rubber or corrugated tubing, I don't know if I would consider it truly premium these days. In terms of length, it measures out at 40 cm, or 15.75 inches.

The pump is of course RGB LED illuminated with a ring to make it stand out a bit more as it will reflect the LEDs on the pump, making the effect more pronounced. In regards to the fittings, they are your typical swivel fittings and have a good degree of motion, which will come in handy a bit later. Power delivery to the pump is handled by a 3-pin connector attached to a SATA adapter. This means the pump will run at 100% at all times, and therefore does not support PWM. The typical copper base does have a few machining marks, and they are rather prominent, but can't be felt by hand, which has the base feel very smooth to the touch.

ID-Cooling uses two 120 mm RGB fans on the Zoomflow 240. The model number is ID12025M12S. They have a PWM range of 900–2000 RPM and a listed maximum airflow of 55.2 CFM.
