Jackery Explorer 300

Jackery ships the Solar Generator 300 kit in two separate boxes—one for the battery pack itself and one for the SolarSaga 100. Thus, if you buy this kit from them directly or one of their retailers, you will receive a shipment of these two packages.

The Jackery Explorer 300 ships in a full-color cardboard box with a handle. On the front is an image of the unit, while the rear details the connectivity the power station provides. Both smaller sides sport some additional information about the solar panels and company.

When unfolding the top of the package, you are reminded of the first steps and how to get a hold of customer support if needed. The Jackery Explorer 300 comes sandwiched by two black foam spacers to protect it during the shipping process.

A small black pouch holds the PSU for AC charging as well as a 24 V car charging cable to optionally use your automotive cigarette lighter for charging. The power supply is made by HuntKey, a brand PC enthusiasts should be familiar with, and has a detachable, two-pronged power cable.

Taking a closer look at the PSU, there is a blue LED which will light up when it is charging the Jackery Explorer 300. The label shows that it is rated for up to 90 W. In comparison, the Jackery Explorer 1000 only comes with a 50% beefier PSU at 180 W while offering more than thrice the capacity.

Jackery also includes a full-color manual and some fun stickers inside a bright orange pouch.

Unboxing of the SolarSaga 100 panels is less noteworthy as these ship in bubble wrap bags and simply include a manual.
