Assembly
Adding a motherboard to the chassis is done with traditional means by using spacers and screws. The Lancool One Digital is pretty compact, so you won't have a lot of space to play with above and below the board. Thanks to the lack of drive bays in the front, you should be able to install long GPUs without issue.
You may place an SSD in one of the metal trays behind the motherboard tray or on one of two plastic trays on top of the shroud. As the latter ones are a bit more interesting and show the drive off nicely, simply screw the SSD on and put the whole tray back in its place.
Lian Li provides a metal hard-drive cage which may hold two 3.5" drives. You have to take the cage out before screwing down the drives. There is no anti-vibration layer, and other cases usually offer plastic trays for tool-less installation. This makes this assembly process a little basic by modern standards.
Installing a PSU is done with the supplied screws. A unit of up to 240 mm in length will easily fit without interfering with the HDD cage, but you may remove the cage to allow for a power supply of up to 285 mm instead.
With everything installed, the Lancool One Digital Is extremely clean, which is even more important with this white variant as any cable mess will show. In the rear, the Velcro strips manage to keep things quite tidy with minimal effort as well.
Finished Looks
Once turned on, odds are you will be quite in awe due to the addressable RGB element in the center of the front panel. It lights up all colorful and animated as soon as the system is turned on. Thanks to the built-in controller, you can toggle through various multi-colored animations. On top of that, you can access eight standard colors, which are depicted below.
Thanks to the lack of any heavy tinting, all the components within the Lancool One Digital can clearly be seen. Due to the white interior, any black cables will jump right out at you, so it is great that Lian Li manages to keep the interior of the chassis so tidy. In the rear and top, you can see the glow of the internal LEDs, as well as the front LEDs if you look closely.
