Case Inside

The side panels are held in place with two thumb screws; once they are released the panels slide back, then lift off. A box is taped in the 5.25" drive bays with all the hardware needed to mount the necessary parts into the case.

There are four 5.25" drive bays, two 3.5" external bays, and three 3.5" internal bays for hard drives. On the front and rear of the case are 120mm fans. The front fan acts as an intake to cool the hard drives, and push fresh air into the system - The rear is an exhaust.

The power/reset switch and the LEDs leads are routed nicely down the side of the case and come out to the corner of the motherboard where they need to be. Two more wires come from the front panel and are joined by a male and female Molex connector. These wires are for the Cathode tubes located in the front panel. There are also leads for the two front USB ports, Firewire, and also the front audio I/O.

The hard drive rack houses up to three drives, and can be turned 90 degrees. The mounting system is done via rubber dampeners that are screwed onto the drive, then the drives just slide in place.
