Packaging

As is the case with all Matrox products, the retail box has a blue background. This box clearly shows the unit's purpose: to create a desktop, spanning three displays. Sure, you may think "hold up, that is also possible with three outputs from two or three graphic cards in the system", but the TripleHead2Go Digital only requires a single output to supply such a large, multi-monitor setup with data. The rear lists the features of the GXM module and also has a few pictures of the device. Matrox further protects the unit by placing it inside a cardboard box, sandwiched between soft foam pieces.

Besides the unit itself you receive two video cables. One is a Dual-Link DVI cable, the other a VGA cable. Both are of excellent quality and are nice and short. The third is a standard USB 2.0 cable, which is required to power the unit. You will not need an external power supply - impressive for a unit of this type.
