Introduction

Monstargear (Monstar meaning big star) is a South Korean keyboard distributor and supplier of DIY parts based in Busan, and an analogue to Input Club in the US. It has first-party branded keyboards and keyboard kits in addition to selling and organizing group buys for switches, keycaps, and other keyboard accessories. Monstargear is a subsidiary of Monstar Co., Ltd. with even more PC DIY items under its umbrella. The company reached out to us about getting the word across to our global audience, and I was of course happy to add another brand to our coverage portfolio, especially seeing as how some of the Monstargear products are quite intriguing, too. We begin with the NINJA87BT, a TKL keyboard that can be purchased as a kit as well. Thanks again to the company for sending TechPowerUp a review sample!


As with such keyboard kits, the NINJA87BT can be purchased merely with the switches of your choice. What is shown above is an example of a finished set with a set of PBT doubleshot-injected gray keycaps in the OEM profile. I have another set of keycaps here, so the image above also helps illustrate other possibilities. Regardless of what you go with, the NINJA87BT is a TKL (tenkeyless) form factor with hybrid wired or wireless connectivity options courtesy the Bluetooth feature.
