A Closer Look - Inside

To gain access to the interior, simply remove the two side panels by unscrew the thumb screws holding them in place. There is a metal shroud. Montech has thoughtfully tooled it to offer four cutouts for cable routing, while also offering screw mounting holes for two 120 mm fans. If you look closely, you will also notice screw holes for a bracket that would allow vertical GPU placement in place of the classic vertical ones. The only downside here is the fact that the cable routing openings do not come with white grommets here or at the top edge, as they are only present on the two cutouts to the right of the motherboard. In the rear, things look pretty traditional with a very large opening for easy access to any CPU cooler brackets you may install.

You will find two dedicated 2.5" mounting plates for SSDs below that opening, each held in place by a silver thumbscrew. To the left there are actually two more more dedicated placement options with white rubber rings. In other words, Montech as gone to great lengths to keep with the white theme across a variety of elements with this chassis hue, so the fact that the I/O wiring sticks out is a bit apparent. That said, those should blend in well with traditional power supplies and hardware components.

Montech also includes white Velcro strips for easier cable management as well as ensuring that all fans sport white wiring for both the PWM as well as ARGB cables. The included PCB allows for up to six ARGB devices and the same number of PWM fans. You may adjust the lighting using the built-in button or through motherboard control, while the PWM signal is managed with a single header on the motherboard.

At the front, below the shroud, there is the metal hard drive cage which can hold two 3.5" drives or a mix of one 2.5" and one 3.5" unit. Above that the room is intended purely for cooling with the three 140 mm intake fans clearly visible in front of the case body, giving you lots of room within for long GPUs.

In the rear, the PSU bay comes with two white foam strips on which your PSU will rest. Above that, the seven expansion slot covers are secured with individual thumb screws. At the very top, you will find that fourth, non-ARGB based fan, which may be adjusted in height to line up with your CPU cooler.

Looking at the ceiling, the full length of the Air 903 Max is utilized for cooling, with the mounting offset as much as possible to allow for the remaining space to be used for cable routing.

All the wiring within the white Montech Air 903 Max is distinctly OEM with black sleeving and plugs. The PCB utilizes SATA to power any connected devices and comes with the aforementioned interface cable for motherboard control of ARGB and PWM.
