Montech shoots straight down the middle when it comes to what that magical $100 chassis should provide. You get an ATX case with solid ARGB fans, a fan/ARGB PCB and USB-C. That mix is exactly what you should expect in general for a traditionally designed mid-tower chassis. However, Montech pushes somewhat that envelope again by going beyond traditional in terms of design and by providing four ARGB fans over the usual three.
For the price, you get that unique case look with the two glass panels, which we have usually only seen at more expensive price points. To achieve this, Montech seems to have taken a really close look where manufacturing costs are spent, which did result in a few small concessions that were barely noticeable. Things like the plastic mounting frame for the front glass panel - a material choice that isn't visible anywhere else on the Sky Two, or the square USB-C insert and a few steel elements that could benefit from some more thickness. That said, none of these details are deal-breakers, and in fact unsurprising considering the price point and feature list of the chassis. The only reason this is worth mentioning is the fact that Montech advertises the Sky Two as "High End" on the package - which feels a little bit of a stretch just from a marketing perspective.
That said, from a functional perspective, Montech stays true to their DNA and gives you a strong package for $100. A fully-fledged ARGB and PWM PCB, a total of four retail grade fans, of which three are inverse to best fit the chassis layout, fine mesh elements to avoid the need for dust filters, Velcro strips, and the ability to install a 360 mm radiator is a lot to get for one Benjamin. And getting those features in a cool two-window layout is even better. As such, the Montech Sky Two deserves to be recommended, especially for those on a budget!
