Circuit Board (PCB) Analysis
The GPU VRM is five-phase, controlled by a OnSemi NCP81610 controller.
The memory VRM is 2-phase, managed by a uP1666Q controller.
The GDDR6 memory chips are made by Micron and carry the model number D9WCW, which decodes to MT61K256M32JE-14:A. They are specified to run at 1750 MHz (14 Gbps GDDR6 effective). This is in contrast to the RTX 2060 Founders Edition and Zotac RTX 2060 AMP, which both use Samsung memory that overclocks better than the chips from Micron, by around 100 MHz.
NVIDIA's TU106 graphics processor is the company's smallest chip so far to use the Turing architecture. It is produced on a 12 nm process at TSMC, Taiwan and has a transistor count of 10.8 billion with a die size of 445 mm².
