The MSI MPG Z590 Carbon EK X features a 9-phase VRM in a 8+1 configuration. Each of the eight Vcore phases features two power stages in parallel for double the current-handling capability.
The Carbon EK X uses an Intersil ISL69269 PWM controller, which can drive a total of twelve distinct phases.
The MSI MPG Z590 Carbon EK X uses Renesas RAA220075 power stages for all phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 75 A of continuous current and feature both overcurrent and over temperature protection.
