Closer Examination


The keycaps are rather thin ABS models with standard laser-engraved legends on them. This is the most common coating method for backlit keyboards of the lower price segment. Due to the backlighting method on this specific keyboard (not on a per-key basis, but with LED strips), the letters aren't the best in terms of visibility in the dark, and of course, there's a lot of light bleed.


Here, you can see the switches themselves, each of which basically consists of a plastic slider that actuates the rubber-dome mechanism underneath.


The stabilizers do their job well enough, but the large keys, especially the space bar, wobble a bit (as you'll see in the typing test video below). These are also quite loud.


The keyboard has anti-slip rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around. These work like a charm; I had zero issues with sliding. The upper ones can be flipped out if you want to raise the rear end, like on most keyboards. These have rubberized feet in both states, too.

Performance & Sound


The keyboard supports 6-key rollover USB out of the box, which was tested using Aqua's test. This will be more than enough for most games, especially since the WASD cluster takes more than 6 keys at once excluding the modifiers.

Lots of people don't switch to mechanical keyboards for the sole reason of them being too loud. Well, I've got to say, this one's almost louder than my blue-switch Sharkoon PureWriter, especially with the space bar. Of course, I won't count this as a negative as it is not advertised as silent or even quiet. I've made a video in order to demonstrate how the keys sound:
