The MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON features support for additional 5050 LED strips that can be controlled by the board's provided software. There are several connectivity options as well as a "DEMOLED" button on the board's bottom edge.
You'll also find some wiring in the box to help with connecting these 12V 5050 LED strips to the board itself. This allows you to control the strips in tandem with the onboard LEDs, like the LEDs along the board's audio section or on the upper right of the board or... there are a ton of LED-lit places all around this board, and they can all be controlled via software or by an app on your smartphone (Mystic Light Sync).
There are some other LEDs on the MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON; one set to easily let you know which part of the boot process the board is in and another to indicate when XMP is enabled.
Speaking of memory, if you were wondering which slots you should install your memory into and don't want to look at the manual, you can look at this handy diagram that clearly shows you which slots to use first right on the board, next to its DIMM slots. Of course, that doesn't matter if you plan to use ALL of the slots like I do! :P
If you decide to go "Full-RGB" with the MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON, you will not be disappointed. The offered RGB lighting doesn't just consist of LEDs in various places on the board's surface; rather, many of the LEDs are hidden from view directly and instead illuminate board components, like the PCH cooler and rear I/O cover.
If you are the sort who travels to LAN parties often and you choose this board, everyone will know exactly which board you have by the way of a quick look if the LEDs are enabled, since the name is proudly emblazoned across that I/O cover.
