Board Software

The software package that is included with the MSI Z87-GD65 GAMING includes control panels for several different board features, most notably for the KIller E2205 LAN controller and onboard RAID.


MSI's usual LiveUpdate5 makes a showing again, and works pretty well when put to the test. It'll provide downloads for all drivers and added software, making it a valuable tool for any user. For custom-clock settings from within the BIOS, MSI has included a customized version of Intel's own XTU tweaking software.


Fast Boot options and settings for the high-power USB ports both get control panels as well, as you can see above. The Fast Boot control panel also has a button that will have the board boot into the UEFI BIOS the next time the PC is restarted or powered up. Mainly meant for Windows8 users, it is nonetheless handy to all.
