The NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX was already a great card, (Read our review here) but the 7950 GX2 does not only look incredible in any computer, it will give you a large leap in performance for around $100 more. If we look back a few years, the bottleneck of the PC with games was always the graphic card. You could max out every game with the graphic card and a faster CPU would not increase your frame rate. Today, with the constant struggle between ATI and NVIDIA, the performance of the graphics card has been increasing so fast, that the CPUs have a hard time keeping up.
If you are on the lookout for a great VGA card, the rest of your system is fast as can be and a price tag of over $500 Dollars does not scare you, go right ahead and grab yourself an NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2. Nonetheless, if you have a PC which is older than 18 months or have a normal 1280x1024 capable Monitor or LCD, you may want to hold your horses until you grab yourself a brand new PC or larger screen.
