Image Quality Enhancements

NVIDIA is introducing a number of image quality enhancements with the GF100. The first being Accelerated Jitter Sampling which goes a step beyond removing jagged shadows, and works to removes the random noise caused around shadows which distorts the surfaces around the shadows. This makes the shadow more pleasant to the eye, while also looking natural.



Geometric realism in existing applications is enhanced by 32X CSAA anti-aliasing mode.



Following are comparisons between the 16x CSAA mode offered by the GT200 and the 32x CSAA the GF100 offers:



The performance penalty of using the 32x CSAA mode instead of the 16x CSAA is expected to be negligible, with a 7% performance hit.
