A big thank you to CPS PCCooler for supplying the review sample.

Founded in 2005, Shenzhen Fluence Technology PLC, the company behind the CPS PCCooler brand, has begun to more rapidly expand. Specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of essential components like CPU coolers, RGB case fans, computer cases, and power supplies, CPS PCCooler is a leading brand in China's domestic market. Furthermore, their products have begun to achieve recognition which when paired with the companies current reach of over 35 countries—including the USA, Brazil, Germany, Japan, and South Korea—means their popularity and growth is likely to continue at an accelerated pace.

Today's review has me quite interested since it's the first time I have covered a CPS PCCooler product namely the RZ820 BK. This monster dual-tower, dual-fan air cooler comes in at 161 mm long, 150 mm wide, and 165 mm tall. It uses a non-typical heat pipe layout as well with a combination of 4x Ø8 mm and 4x Ø6 mm heat pipes for improved heat transfer. In the looks department it sports a magnetic top cover and clean boxy design, along with a simple ARGB lighting accent. It also makes use of a slide system for the front fan that makes it easy to adjust upwards for improved memory clearance. Taking all of that into account it's not hard to note that on paper, it looks like a fantastic offering, but seeing is believing, so let's take a closer look and see if the performance lives up to its size.

Packaging

The box itself is predominately shades of gray along with the cooler, meaning the full color image on the front doesn't stand out as much as it could. Still, the image itself showcases the cooler well but beyond that there is no information to be found. Moving to the left side the gray theme continues with the RZ820 cooler name being all there is to see. After flipping around to the back there is finally some information on the product. Here you will find the specifications table which is properly fleshed out with all the information you will need including the supported CPU sockets.

The right side of the box shows off the RZ820 again but this time it is a bit easier to see as the gray backdrop has no other design elements to interfere with the image of the cooler. Finally, the top of the box just has the CPS and PCCooler logos.

Upon closer inspection, you will find all the mounting hardware in separate boxes right on top, while the heatsink and fans are encased in foam below. Overall the packaging is quite good from a product protection standpoint and I have no real issues to speak of here.

The mounting hardware has everything you need along with a couple of extra fan clips for use with a third fan if you want to go that route. Beyond that, the mounting hardware itself is incredibly simple and should prove easy to work with, supporting all of today's modern mainstream sockets. In terms of HEDT systems only Intel's LGA2011 / LGA2066 are supported whereas AMD's HEDT sockets are not.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 4x LGA20XX standoffs
  • 4x Universal standoffs
  • 4x Thumb nuts
  • 2x Intel brackets
  • 2x AMD brackets
  • 2x Fan clips
  • 1x Intel backplate
  • 1x Screwdriver
  • 1x Tube thermal paste
  • 1x Custom 140 mm fan
  • 1x Custom 120 mm fan
  • 1x Fan Y-cable
  • 1x Manual
  • 1x Heatsink
