Phanteks Evolv Shift XT Case Review

Packaging

The Phanteks Evolv Shift XT ships in a plain, brown cardboard box with a simple mention of the case model inside. Besides that, there is only a sticker on the side to let you know which color variant you will be receiving.

The Shift XT is held in place by two thick, black foam spacers. A separate foam insert holds the box with accessories. Interestingly enough, Phanteks does not include their signature plastic screw box with separate compartments this time around.

Phanteks has sent us their Glacier One 240 MPH AIO on top of the Revolt SFX 750, which we will take a closer look at as well. The shipment also included two of their T30 PWM fans, which we reviewed in detail already.

Contents

You will receive a bag with screws, several zip ties, and a Phanteks plaque as part of the basic accessories. As we will see later on, there is a plastic clip to secure the PCIe riser cable to the motherboard. A compact screw driver to adjust the height of the chassis and two spacers for the "air boost" and "liquid cooled" configurations are also found inside the small accessories box. Separately packaged are three dust filter strips meant for the ceiling of the chassis when operating the case in the compact configuration.

Phanteks also includes a single piece of paper to let you know how to access the case, along with a detailed manual. On page 12 of that booklet, you essentially have that same set of opening instructions. It seems Phanteks knows most people won't bother reading the manual, so including that separate page is their way of ensuring you don't try to wing it and break your case in the process.
